Michael P. Harder, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was born in Wauwatosa, WI on Oct. 10, 1951 and was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret (nee: Austin) Harder. On July 29, 1989, in Our Saviors Lutheran Church, here in Racine, he was united in marriage to the former Laura Rievette. Michael had been employed by the Harnischfeger Corp. and later by American Welding and Engineering. Michael enjoyed hunting, and listening to the Brewers games, and fishing, was an expert downhill skier, and loved going to their summer home in Phelps, WI. Surviving are his loving wife, Laura; "the boys", Sunny and Jake, his sister, Deborah Wiemann, of Sheboygan; Deborah's children, Richard, Charles, and Stephanie. His memorial service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 5th, at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Manda Stack officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the Countryside Humane Society..
