Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, May 7, 2026, for a visitation from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. 

 

A service celebrating and honoring his life will follow at 6:00 pm.

MOUNT PLEASANT – Michael J. Neal, 30, passed away at his residence on April 24, 2026, after a 14-year battle with Alexander Disease.

He was born in Racine on July 11, 1995, the son of Daryle and Linda (nee Petersen) Neal.  He graduated from Washington Park High School where he played on the football team until his disease prevented him from continuing.

Michael enjoyed playing video games, going to the movies and going for rides on the back of his brother Jeff’s motorcycle.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Linda (Rob Hobson) Neal; his brothers, Mark Andersen and Jeff Paczkowski; his nieces and nephews, Launa, Stella, and John Andersen ; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Daryle “DJ” Neal, Jr.  and his grandparents, Carol and LeRoy Petersen.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, May 7, 2026, for a visitation from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  A service celebrating and honoring his life will follow at 6:00 pm.

Michael’s family extends a heartfelt thanks to the entire medical staff at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for the excellent care they provided to him over the past 14 years.
