Racine – Michael Phillip Martinez, 52, passed away unexpectedly at WFHC-All Saints Hospital on Sunday July 12, 2015.  He was born in Racine on August 22, 1962, son Pedro and Maria (nee: Rodriguez) Martinez. Michael attended Park High School, and was a lifelong Racine resident.

Michael worked for several years at the Pour House as a bartender. He was also known to work in metal yards and dabbled some in automotive work. Whatever he was doing was done with his whole heart. His door was open to everyone and he always enjoyed their company. Michael was a jokester, loved to feed all the neighborhood kids and was always helping anyone that he could.

Surviving are his beloved daughters Mikayla (Kyle) Smith, Jordan Martinez both of Racine, and Lauren Romprey of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Kamryn and Kodee Morgan, and Keedyn Cruz of San Antonio, Texas. He is further survived by his mother, Maria Martinez of Racine; sisters and brothers, Margarita Martinez, Mary Martinez, Martha Martinez, Martin Martinez,  and Santos(Olga) Rodriguez all of Racine. He was preceded in death by his father Pedro in 1993 and by his loving wife of 27 years, Traci Ehlert Jessee.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday July 18, 2015 from 12:00-2:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
