Racine – Michael Lynn Murphy, 63, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, on February 14, 1954, son of the late Hugh and Novella (nee: Arant) Murphy.

Michael worked for Young Radiator, Milwaukee Road Rail Road, and DeRango's Restaurants until his health no longer allowed him to do so. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and deer hunting. Michael was also an amateur astronomer. He knew a lot of fun facts about space and could tell you all kinds of things about the sky. Michael was a Packer fan and would always cheer on his favorite team on a Sunday afternoon or a Monday Night. Above all, he loved his family dearly and cherished the time he could spend with them.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Patricia Murphy, Christopher (Linda) Murphy, Sarah (Jessie) Lewis, Jennifer Murphy; grandchildren, Josiah Murphy, Chase Murphy, Everett Murphy, Carter Murphy, Amber Murphy, Crystal Murphy, Jade Murphy, Jewel Murphy, Tyler Lewis; sister, Anita (Gene) Flury; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Mary; and brother, David Murphy.

A memorial celebration of Michael's life will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of the service.
