Michael Roberts

~~     Michael Roberts, 76, passed away, in Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints on Monday, July 14, 2014, after a courageous battle with Cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born in South Bend, IN on July 12, 1938. On November 30, 1957, in South Bend, he was united in marriage to the former Joan Galwas. Mike served his country with the U.S. Marines. The Roberts moved to Racine in 1968.  Mike retired from TNT/Holland in 1995, where he was a longtime truck driver. If there could be only one word that would be fitting to describe Mike it would be “Brilliant”.
     Surviving are his wife, Joan, their five children, Cheryl (Hector) Anchondo, Michael (Michelle) Roberts, Timothy (Lisa) Roberts, Debra (Charles) LeCrone, and Jeffrey Roberts; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy (Michelle) Anchondo, Adria Anchondo, Shawn (Andrea) Manbeck, Brian, Holly, Anthony, Stephanie, and Shannon Roberts, Kaylee and Alysia LeCrone; 6 great grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Chase, Annabella, Dominic and Mylee.
      A gathering to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at Quarry Lake Park on Friday, July 18th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private interment, with full military honors, will be held in West Lawn Memorial Park.
