Palatine, IL – Michael Mark Wanggaard, age 50, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home in Palatine, IL on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

Michael was born in Racine, WI on July 29, 1974. A graduate of Wawasee High School in Syracuse Indiana, Michael went on to Purdue University at age 16. He graduated with a double major in computer and electrical engineering. After graduation, all of Michael's employment was in the computer field.

Surviving are his mother, Julie Ann (nee: Haakenson) Kline of Syracuse, IN; father & step-mother, Mark & Nancy Wanggaard of Racine, WI; sister Maren Wanggaard of Denver, CO; and many aunts; uncles; and cousins.

A gathering to celebrate Michael's life will be held at a later date. Please keep Michael's family in your thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.
