Cedar Hill, Texas (Former resident of Racine, WI) – Michael Maurice Westmoreland Sr. was born on January 30, 1972, to Phyllis Westmoreland and Melvin Kidd in Racine, Wisconsin.

Michael received his formal education in Racine Unified School District and was a proud graduate of J.I. Case High School, in 1990. He accepted Christ as his savior at age 35 and was united with Midtown Church of Christ in Racine, Wisconsin. Michael was united in holy matrimony with Angela Lawson on October 9, 1993, in Racine, Wisconsin. Michael enlisted into the United States Air Force on April 5, 1991 and was honorably discharged on March 1, 1996. He was self-employed as a heating and air conditioning technician until 2020. He traveled all over the country as a motivational speaker, to encouraging stroke and trauma patients.

In his leisure, he enjoyed reading and had a love of making his own music. He loved playing his saxophone and keyboard. He enjoyed DJ'ing for fun his name was "DJ Vivid". He was a huge Michael Jackson fan. He loved to dance and mastered MJ's moves.

Michael departed this life on June 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Frances Westmoreland. Paternal grandparents Glover and Ollie Kidd. He was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother Phyllis Westmoreland-Lott; father Melvin (Lillie) Kidd Sr; brothers Gregory Lott Jr. and Melvin Kidd Jr; sisters Angela (Jermaine) Kidd-Witherspoon and Ollie Kidd; former wife and love of his life Angela Westmoreland; son Michael Westmoreland Jr; daughter Michala Westmoreland; grandchildren Ariellya and Aizayah Westmoreland; special cousins Carolyn Settersten, Jessie Maurice Jones, Arthur Westmoreland, Debra Sims-Brown and Brian Sims.

T he Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 10:00am at Midtown Church of Christ, 1704 13th Street, Racine, Wisconsin. Visitation will be in the church from 9:00am – 10:00am.  Michael will receive Full Military Honors. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery's Veterans Section in Racine, WI on Thursday, July
