Miles R. Bengston, age 60, passed away on Memorial Day Monday May 25, 2020  at St. Lukes medical center in Milwaukee WI . Miles was a lifetime resident of Racine born on January 7, 1960, the son of Clifford and Doris (nee: Fedder) Bengston. On May 28th he would have celebrated his 32nd wedding anniversary having married the former Mary Buchek also of Racine. Miles was on a heart transplant list for 3 years supported by an LVAD ( left ventricle assistive device). His family is thankful for that time made possible by the fantastic heart team at Milwaukee St. Luke’s Aurora Kendrick Heart Transplant Center and their staff. Miles worked very hard to remain here as he loved his family and adored his grandchildren.

Miles was employed as a machinist for 40 years at T & K Specialty Products, Inc. starting in 1980 Miles worked as an operator, foreman, and consultant.

Surviving are his wife Mary, three children son, Ben (Amanda) Bengston and their children Aiden Weigand and Aubree Bengston; Andrea (Matthew Lucas) Bengston and their children Parker, Paxton, and Porter Lucas :  Amber (Jared Luell) and their daughter Emberly Luell.  He is further survived by his first wife JoLynn (nee: Stauss ) Bengston ; sister Marlene (Gary) Skovsted. Sister in laws Debbie (Jim) Boeck , Brenda (Mike ) Garski. His God children, Rachel Small, Charlotte Letsch, and Abigail Small. As well as aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends . Miles was preceded in death by his father Clifford, mother Doris , and brother Mark.

Miles Celebration of life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 30 2020 at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles Hanson officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 pm. until the time of the service.  Private inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In honor of Miles life, please visit the website : www.donatelifewisconsin  – anyone can become an organ donor. Remember to hug your loved ones as the difference between life and death is but a breath.

In accordance with the Racine County Mandate, only 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at any given time. You may be required to wait outside until others leave the building. For the safety and security of our guests we also require those in attendance to wear a face covering.  We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.

    I am sorry for your loss.
    Miles was a good man .
    I wish Karen and I could have been there. She is very ill, and has been since November. She can’t drive or barely walk. And is in constant pain. Miles Rest in peace 🙏
