Myron D. Kilmer, 87, formally of Janesville, WI passed away in Ascension-All Saints hospital, on December 31, 2020. Myron was born in La Crosse, WI on December 3, 1933, the eldest of five sons of the late Clarence and Thelma (nee: Larsen) Kilmer.

Myron spent his formative years playing and working on many farms in Vernon County. After graduating from Viroqua High School, he served his country with the U.S. Army. He was discharged from active duty in 1958 and remained in the reserves until 1961. He worked for General Motors for many decades, retiring not once, but twice. On September 29, 1956, in Viroqua, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Munyon. They lived in Janesville most of their married life and were active members at Mt. Zion Methodist church and later Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Janesville. After retirement, they loved to winter in Tucson, Arizona and enjoyed time with their many friends. Myron also loved spending time "north of the tension zone" at his cabin in Adams County. Some of his favorite hobbies were golf, fishing, cutting wood, woodworking, gardening, playing pool, and sitting in the sun. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was affectionately referred to as "Grandpa K."

Myron was preceded in death by JoAnn in February of 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gordon and Carol Munyon; his brothers, John and LaVerne; his brother-in-law, Jerry Munyon.

In March of 2010, he was united in marriage to Nancy Ripp Scripko who currently resides in Racine. Nancy and Myron enjoyed traveling and their time in Tucson, Arizona at Wagons West.

Myron is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Mark (Julie) Kilmer; his daughter, Jayne (Ed) McGrath;  his grandchildren, Christopher (Jacqui) McGrath, Ryan (Kari) McGrath, Jacob (Emily) McGrath, Johnny McGrath, Graham Kilmer, and Hannah (Jacob) Braund; his great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Henry McGrath.

Myron will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends in Wisconsin and in Tucson, Arizona. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark DeCheck and the staffs at St. Monica's and Ascension-All Saints hospital for their compassion and care. Memorials to honor Myron's life can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private service will be held with burial in the Milton Lawns Cemetery, Janesville, Wisconsin.
