MyungHyun Kim

Jul 19, 1957 – Nov 10, 2019

Service Details

A celebration of MyungHyun’s life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019, 7:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant.  Visitation will be from 6:00pm until the time of the service.

MyungHyun Kim, 62, passed away on November 10, 2019, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born in South Korea on July 19, 1957, son of PilDong and KiNyeo Kim. In 1984 he met and married the woman who would be his best friend and loving companion for 35 wonderful years, SunJu, and they were soon blessed with two sons. Together with his family he immigrated to America and settled in Kenosha, WI in 2000. While living there he became an entrepreneur, creating and proudly running Mitchell Beauty Supply Store on Historic Mitchell Street in Milwaukee.

MyungHyun was an avid golfer, and loved traveling with his wife. Together they enjoyed yearly trips to such sunny locales as Hawaii and Mexico where they relaxed and played daily rounds of golf. He was passionate about his business but his true love was his family, and he worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his wife and children.

MyungHyun leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, SunJu, his two sons, IlHwan Kim and MinHwan (Emily) Kim, and his granddaughter, Eva, a beam of sunshine in his final years. He is also survived by his mother, brothers and sisters, and numerous other family in South Korea.

A special thank you to Pastor Rhee and his family, Mr. Yi and his family, and the members of the Kenosha Korean Church community who all supported MyungHyun and SunJu during the years of his illness.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
