RACINE –  Nellie Virginia Shaw 75 passed away at Ascension All Saints on October 27, 2016

Nellie was born in Ecru, Mississippi on August 9 ^th , 1941 to the late Peter and Emma Lou (: nee Johnson) Judon. She was united in marriage to the late George Shaw for over 25 years. Nellie was a lifelong resident of Racine and accepted Christ at an early age, she was enthusiastic member of the Dominican Church of God of Christ. Nellie received her education from Racine Unified School district. She was a CNA/Housekeeper at Audubon Healthcare and Serenity Terrace Home for over 20 years. Nellie had tons of hobbies, but mostly she loved playing cards and cooking up a feast for family and friends and she loved being around her loved ones.

Nellie leave to cherish her precious memories and will forever keep them in our hearts: children: Phyllis Carter of Milwaukee, Wi, Sharon Martin (Keith Saunders), Robert Carter (Pamela) all of Mounds View, Minnesota, Landra Carter, Jimmy Carter (Kathy) all of Racine, Wisconsin, three stepdaughters, Yolanda Shaw, Gale Shaw, and Valerie Pottinger all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and she leaves one loving brother John Judon, one sister-in-law Florine Judon of Oklahoma. Nellie has 26 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and her special nieces, Anne Pope, Toni Martin, Sarah Carter and Donna Judon.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. for a visitation.  The celebration of Nellie's life and Homegoing will take place at Dominion Church of God (402 9 ^th St) on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kelvin Weatherspoon officiating.  There will be a visitation in the church as well from 10-11 a.m.  Her interment will follow Graceland Cemetery.
