Nels M. "Butch" Andersen III, 75, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 8 ^th , following a long illness. Butch was born in Racine on March 7, 1944, the son of the later Nels M. and Esther (nee: Higgins) Andersen.

He was a 1962 graduate of William Horlick High School. After graduating he joined the U. S. Marines and served his country during the Vietnam War. Butch was a longtime employee of S.C. Johnson and Son. He was a member of the S.C. Johnson 20 Year  Club, the J.M.B.A., the Racine Moose Lodge #427, and the Eagles Nest. Butch was an avid Cubs and Packers fan.  He is survived by his wife, Deb; daughter, Kim (Kevin) Jones; of Racine, stepdaughters, Sarah (Gary) Moran, of Salem, WI, Kari Pavia, of Racine, two grandchildren, Haley and Cody Jones; brother, Bob Andersen; and sister, Linda (Mark) Baker, all of Racine; daughter-in-law Kim Andersen, of Milwaukee; and brother-in-law, George  Krizmanich, of Racine. Butch is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darin Andersen, and his grandson, Dylan Pavia.

Service Details

A celebration of his life will be held,  in the funeral home, on Thursday, June 13 ^th at 6:00 p.m. Relatives and friends can meet with the family, in the funeral home, on Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service.  The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Grace Hospice and Summer Davis for the loving care they extended to Butch in his final days.
