Obituary

Racine – Nicole Rae (nee: Stanek) Trobaugh, age 36, affectionately known to everyone as "Nikki", passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan  – All Saints Medical Center due to unforeseen complications with a recent surgery.

Nikki was born in Cudahy, WI on February 25, 1977 to Marvin "James" and Connie Rae (nee: Biadasz) Stanek. A graduate of Union Grove High School, she went on to attend University of Wisconsin – Parkside. For over the past 17 years, Nikki was employed by Educators Credit Union where she was currently a Member Finance Representative at the Sturtevant location.

On September 9, 2006 in Yorkville Methodist Church, she was united in marriage to Jonathan Adam Trobaugh. Among her interests, she loved the pool, water wrestling at the island, boating, cooking and playing volleyball. She loved being a mother and was happiest surrounded by her family.

Nikki leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jon; daughter, Madison  (age 17 months), son, Taylor (age 15 years); parents, Jim and Connie Stanek; brothers, Kelly Stanek and Shawn (Cammie) Stanek; nieces and nephews, Annika Stanek, Kayla, Katelyn and Alex Trobaugh; Grant and Owen Gregory; Emma Mayer; grandmothers, Doris Stanek and Beverly Trobaugh; father-in-law, Jeff Trobaugh; mother-in-law, Valerie (David) Czarnecki; sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Kirk) Mayer, Leslie (Rodger) Trobaugh and Jessica (Kenny) Gregory; aunts, uncles and extensive circle of close friends – too numerous to mention by name.

Nikki was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kelly Lynn Stanek; grandparents, Marvin Stanek; Chester & Delores Biadasz; Joe Trobaugh; and Charles & Lillian Smith.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Nikki's life will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 4:00 pm. For those who wish, please come prepared with a brief story or memory to share at the service. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 pm. Contributions may be made to the "Nikki Trobaugh Memorial Fund" which is established at all Educators Credit Union Locations.

A heartfelt note of thanks to all of our family & friends who have surrounded us with an overwhelming amount of love and support during this horrible time of Nikki's untimely death. Please continue all of us in your thoughts and prayers!
