Racine – Norma Margaret Wilson, age 91, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Care Center on Sunday, November 19, 2017.
Norma was born in Lily, Wisconsin on January 4, 1926 to the late William and Mary "Mayme" (nee: Brennan) Wilson. She lived in Racine for most of her life. Auntie proudly worked as a telephone operator for nearly 37 years at Wisconsin Bell.
Norma was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church and of the Telephone Pioneers. Among her interests, she enjoyed reading and knitting. Above all, Norma was a devoted aunt who loved taking care of all her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Duane Sweeney, Barbara King-Page, Kathleen King, Patrick King, Christopher (Karla Ludholz) King, Bill (Joan) Newton, David Newton, Rocky Perfetto, Mary (Mike) Conley, Tom (Chris) Perfetto, Gino (Sue) Perfetto, Norma (Beaver) Gomez, Michael Perfetto, Tracy (Mark) Simmons and Toni (Mike) Fredrick; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Auntie Norma was preceded in death by her three sisters, Betty (Wally) King, Eve Davidson and Eleanor (Leonard "Babe") Perfetto; nieces, Judy Sweeney, Kim Newton and Laurie Newton; great-nephew, Aaron Perfetto; great-niece, Brandi Petersen; and great-great-nephew, Marcello Toscano.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. A reception will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 – 11:00 am. Private entombment will take place in the mausoleum of Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to the American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
A heartfelt note of thanks to the entire staff at Ridgewood Care Center (especially Maria, Deb, Betsy and Kat) and to the wonderful team at Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care and support given in Auntie Norma's time of need. May God bless all of you!
