Obituary

O.T. Freeman passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, surrounded by family.

O.T. was born on December 5, 1935 in New Albany, MS to the late McKinley Wray and Jannie (Guyton) Wray. She accepted Christ at an early age. O.T. attended school in New Albany and later moved to Racine. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Finest Freeman Jr. on February 21, 1953. This marriage lasted 43 years until his death on April 29, 1996. To this union four children were born. O.T. was a homemaker and devoted mother. She took great pride in raising her children and taking care of her home. Over the years she held several jobs at various employers, but her main focus was making sure her family was properly taken care of. Her greatest joy was seeing her husband, children and grandchildren smile because all of their needs were met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; Don (Jane) Freeman of Tucson, AZ, Willie Freeman and Denise Freeman both of Racine, WI; 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, siblings; Ida Lee Lowe of Tamarac, FL, Joe Wray of Phoenix, AZ, Charlie (Ruby) Wray of Cordova, TN; sister-in-law, Ada Wray; special cousin, Mary Ruth McNeal and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, James (Wenonah) Freeman, Sr.; two granddaughters, Latisha and Kimberly Freeman; great grandson, Keyshawn Freeman; aunt, Louise Guyton; siblings, Lester Wray, W.C. (Juanita) Wray, Otis (Bessie) Wray Sr., Rogers Wray, Lucille Wray; in-laws, Finest Freeman, Sr. (Eteria) and brothers-in-law, Willie (Patricia) Freeman, Russell (Arrilla) Freeman, Sr.

Service Details

Funeral services for O. T. will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
