Obituary

Olga Johnson, 85, entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 4, 2013.  She was a lifelong resident of Racine.  Olga was born July 23, 1928, daughter of the late John and Lucille (nee: Kitaschevitz) Roslak.  Her parents were born in Russia and lived during Stalin's reign.  Her mother, Lucille, escaped in 1923 to join her husband in Racine and start a new life.

During Olga's early childhood years, she did not speak English.  She learned the language at Howell Elementary and Mitchell Junior High where she was very active in school activities.  Olga and her sisters were well known as the Roslak Girl's, which until her death, was a great source of pride for her.  She went on to Park High School where she was an honor student as well as a member of the Quill & Scroll International Honorary Society. Olga loved her school days and being active in all of its organizations.  After graduation, she worked at Racine Unified School District as an administrative assistant including time working in Research and Development. Olga was the coordinator for the Park High Class of 1946 reunion, keeping track of all students and informed of the upcoming reunion events.   She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  Olga was an avid reader, gardener, art enthusiast, and had the opportunity of her life to travel back to Russia to reunite with her mother's relatives.  She had many accomplishments in her life but her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, David (Sally) Weaseman, Linda (Frank) Weaseman, Janet (Scott) Slaughter; grandchildren, Eric, Jill, Andrew, Andrei, Aruna; great grandchildren, Kayli, Christina, Taylor, Emily, Ayva; sisters, Naja (Bill) Werner, Anna (Walter) Stenavich; and brother, John (Carole) Roslak.

In addition to her parents, Olga is preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Donald Johnson; former husband, Jack Q. Weaseman, the father of her four children; daughter, Patricia Weaseman; two brothers, Stefan Roslak and Adam Roslak.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Steve Fringer officiating.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 12, 2013, from 5pm until 8pm.  Visitation will continue at 11:00am on Tuesday until the time of the service.  Burial will follow services on Tuesday at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Olga wanted to recognize and thank the many friends who were  joys in her long life and those that were with her constantly through out her last two years of illness including her family, Kim Day, Sandy Johnson, and Floyd Morrone.
