Ollie Mae (Jackson) Lowe was born on October 25, 1929, the fifth child of ten children born to Clifton and Brazilian (Smith) Jackson, in Pine Bluff Arkansas. Her parents instilled in her the importance of having a relationship with God. After she relocated to Racine in the early 1950s she joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member in good standing until her death. Ollie valued education and was chosen as a young girl to attend a private high school in Arkansas. She excelled and was often cited as an example of a hard worker and won awards for her academic achievements. She graduated and continued to pursue her education at Gateway Technical Institute in Racine. She took classes in home economics and became an excellent seamstress. "Aunt Ollie", as she was affectionately called, was someone who gave freely and did all she could to help others which included giving her time, money, and for many of her nieces, "doing their hair". She also was not shy about giving advice and stating her mind, even if it was not what you wanted to hear. Ollie was married to the late Charlie (Chuck) Lowe. Together they built a happy and enjoyable life together. They hosted family cookouts and worked together to improve their neighborhood and did whatever they could to encourage young children to get an education and be the best persons they could be. She was a member of the Neighborhood Watch, the NAACP and the Racine Senior Center. She was supportive of family activities and attended special programs, performances, graduations, weddings and other events. As a hardworking and reliable factory employee of Moxness Manufacturing, Ollie served as Union Steward and was an example to others who worked with her. She took early retirement to care for her sick husband.

In her later years she became an avid television watcher and enjoyed such programs as "Dancing with the Stars" and following the lives of many celebrities. She would rise sometimes at 2:00 am to watch tennis matches involving the famous William sisters, Serena and Venus. She became a fan of golf when Tiger Woods rose to fame in that sport. Ollie Lowe departed this life at her home on November 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, and eight siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Izella Jackson, five nieces, Brazilian (Alfonzo) Thurman, Susan Muir, Sandra (Eddie) Dobbins, Linda (Thomas) Spight, Gloria Jackson, four nephews, Lawrence Bennett, James Bennett, Anwar Zeidi, Terry Jackson and numerous grand and great nieces and nephews.
