~~ Mrs. Oralia S. Alvarado, 85, passed away peacefully, at her residence, on Friday, December 12, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Alvarado was born in Crystal City, TX, on December 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Jesus and Manuela (nee: Maldonado) Salinas. She had been employed by St. Luke's Hospital, here in Racine, for near 20 years. She was a longtime member of Cristo Rey Parish and the Damas of Cristo Rey. Surviving are her children, Maria (Sam) Coca, of Miami, FL, Consuelo (Gilbert) Medina, of Racine, Dora Alvarado, of Green Bay, Rosa (Gary) Vargas, of Salem, and Jesus (Nancy) Alvarado, of Milwaukee; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 16th at 11:00 with Deacon Robert Fuentes officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
