Out all the teachers I ever had, Mrs. Mottl ranks as the one that really made an impact. She promoted individuality and she celebrated everyone’s strengths, which was and probably still a rarity in the public school system. Brian, you and I were growing up together when you became part of her family, and I will always remember that as a testament to the huge heart she had and love she had/has for you. I wish her safe travels and strength to her family–we were all blessed to know her, if even for a little while..

Although I did not personally know Pamela I did know her daughter, Tamra. She would often come into my work looking for items her mom needed the past few months. When Tamra came in yesterday and I asked how her mom was I was saddned to hear she had passed. The way Tamra had talked about her mom the past few months gave me a sense of what kind of person she was. Hearing of how much of a best friend and mother she was brought tears to my eyes, knowing you had lost someone truly wonderful. Know I am praying for all of you through this difficult time.
