Pamela C. Mottl, 73, completed her earthly journey, in Aurora-St. Luke Medical Center, on Thursday, June 13, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winnebago, IL, on May 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Claude and Frances (nee: Hollo) Thorsen.

Pam was an English, Communications, and Drama Teacher for the Racine Unified School District; teaching at Jersted-Angerholm and Starbuck Middle Schools. She enjoyed taking care of her home, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She was a huge supporter of the A.S.P.C.A, the Disabled Veterans of America, lover of all sports, including the Packers, tennis, golf and the U.S. Olympics. Pam loved her dog, Gracie, her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Thomas (Annette) Mottl, and Traci Mottl, all of Racine, Todd (Sue) Mottl, of Green Bay, WI, Tamra Mottl, of Providence, RI, and Brian Kohlmann, of Franksville, grandchildren, Amanda "Mandi" Mottl, of Oak Creek, Joshua (Rachel) Mottl, and Laura Mottl, both of Racine, Matthew Mottl and Nicole Mottl, both of Green Bay, and John Luc Mottl, of Providence, RI, great grandchildren, Ava, Lacey, and Brayden, brother, Jim Thorsen, sister, Lynn Thorsen, both of Portland, OR, sister-in-law Mary Kahui, of Hilo, HA. Pam is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and former students. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Thorsen.

A Memorial Service celebrating Pam's life will be held in the funeral home on Monday, June 17th, at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to, the Wisconsin Chapter of the A.S.P.C.A. the U.S. Olympics, the Special Olympics, the Disabled Veterans, or the Drama Department of Starbuck Middle School.
