Patricia Ann Kraus, 68, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  She was born in Racine on February 1, 1952, daughter of the late Henry and Johanna (Née: DeYoung) Kuiper, Jr.

Patricia was united in marriage to Paul W. Kraus on December 2, 1997.

Patricia was a custodian for the Racine Unified School District until her retirement.  Her joy was her family and loved spending time with them.  Especially, sewing with the grandchildren or shopping with her sister.  Patricia will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Paul Kraus; children, Heather (Matt) Kraus, Celeste Wright, Jessica Collins, Sharon (Jake) Smith; grandchildren, Haley, Hanna, McKenna, Sydney, Corrine, Ashley; sister, Shirley Peterson; brothers, Herbert Kuiper, Peter (Cynthia) Kuiper; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Kuiper, and Harry Kuiper.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Holistic Home and Hospice Care for the love and care given to Patricia during this difficult time.

Testimonials

Last warm-hearted care of our mother

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didnt know what to expect. We didnt have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didnt stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.
