Patricia R. Mudrak, 77, passed away in the Kenosha Estates Living and Care Center on Saturday, February 16, 2013. She was born in Marinette, WI on May 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Richard and Pearl (nee: Fort) VandenBranden.

On December 5, 1959, here in Racine, she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Mudrak. Pat loved doing crafts, especially with her Monday Night Club.  She was so talented that she opened Creations by Pat and participated in many craft shows. She had been employed by Snyder's Dime Store, the Flower Box, and Floral Art Shop. Pat loved dogs and raised several over the years. She spent countless hours in her garden and took pride in showing it off. The center of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent each summer with them and enjoyed having the whole family over for home-cooked meals. Pat also enjoyed bowling, reading, and keeping in contact with her pen pals across the country.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald J. Mudrak, their sons, John Mudrak, and Steven (Diane) Mudrak, grandchildren, Jay (Amanda) Mudrak, and Janet (Matt) Carpino, great grandchildren, Lucy and Samuel Mudrak, and Jameson Carpino. Her brother, Richard (Joan) VandenBranden, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents Richard VandenBranden and Pearl (Art) VandenBranden-Ziemke, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James "Jim", Gerald "Bud", and Marvin "Skip" Vanden Branden, and sister, Jean Hawley.

Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 20 ^th at 12 Noon, with Rev. Richard Molter officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be held in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials directed to them to establish a living memorial to Patricia at a later date.
