Patricia "Pat" Althea Teresa Antoine-Norton, 63, of Racine, Wisconsin passed away on April 7, 2024. Pat was born on July 25, 1960 in Point Fortin, Trinidad to John and Cynthia (nee: Pickett) Antoine.

Affectionately nicknamed "Joy" by her parents, Patricia will be remembered as a kind and selfless woman who was always willing to serve her family, friends, church, and community. She had a heart for service and spent much of her time volunteering at her local church and as the Women's Ministry coordinator for the Wisconsin Conference of SDA. Some of her highlights each year included her annual mission trip to Guatemala and teaching children about Jesus during Camp Meeting at Camp Wakonda.

Pat attended Caribbean Union College in Trinidad where she earned an Associate of Science degree, then transferred to Andrews University (Michigan) where she completed a B.A. in Anatomy and Physiology with a minor in Speech-Language Pathology.  She was accepted into the first class of Physical Therapists at Andrews and graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy on June 5, 1988. That same day she married her husband, James.

Patricia practiced as a PT in New Jersey, Michigan, Minnesota, and Indiana before relocating to Racine in 1998. In Racine, she worked as a physical therapist in the Atrium (Ascension) for 25 years. It was here she fostered her love for teaching by serving as a clinical instructor for UW-Milwaukee. In 2009 she was named the Clinical Instructor of the Year by the Wisconsin chapter of the APTA.

In her free time Pat enjoyed singing, reading, arts and crafts, and making her infamous curry, scones, and guacamole to share with her loved ones.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, James; their two children, Joel and Janelle; mother, Cynthia; brother, Roger; her nieces, nephews, other relatives – through blood and through faith – and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Racine Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1810 Durand Ave, Racine, WI 53403) with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. to be followed by the service at 2 p.m. A potluck fellowship will be held at the conclusion of the services. In lieu of flowers, please bring a dish to share if possible. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream option will be available.
