Racine – Patrick Thomas Kennedy, 58, passed away unexpected on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. He was born in Racine on June 9, 1955, the son of Jerome and Mercedes (nee: Schuit) Kennedy, Sr. Pat graduated from Park High School in 1974, was employed by SC Johnson Wax for more than 30 years, retiring in 2006.

Pat will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and for always being a kid at heart. He was always there to assist his family and friends in need with his talents in automobile repairs. He loved cars, especially the older muscle cars of the 1960's and 1970's, and enjoyed following many NASCAR drivers and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He was a loving son and brother, and most of all he was the best dad a daughter could hope for.

Pat is survived by his devoted daughter, Lindsay Kennedy; his former wife and lifelong friend, Jutta Ludwig Kennedy; his mother, Mercedes Kennedy; sisters and brother, Susan Donaldson, Jerome (Lynel) Kennedy, Karen (Louis) Mako, and Kathleen (Glenn) Gutnayer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome J Kennedy Sr., and his brother, Thomas D. Kennedy.

Memorial services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to The American Heart Association or to the family have been suggested.
