On Wednesday, August 12, 2015 Pearl was reunited with her parents Otto and Theresa Rusch; her brother, Robert Leo Rusch (Dorothy); her sister, Evelyn Murray (George); and her husband, Gordon Edmonston. Pearl passed away just a few days before her 96th birthday.

Pearl Elsie Rusch was born in Dubuque, Iowa on August 21, 1919. Born with a hearing disability, Pearl attended a school for the deaf and learned to lip read as a young child. She went on to fulfill her life's dream to become a cosmetologist and received her training in Chicago. Upon returning to Racine, she opened her own beauty shop and became one of the most beloved hair dressers in the area. In later years, she was employed by Image Makers where she worked well into her seventies. Beauty and fashion were Pearl's passion. She often commented jokingly "I can't wait until tomorrow, cuz I get better looking every day".

Pearl is survived by nephews, Robert "Rusty" Rusch (Carolyn) of Marysville, WA and Robert James Murray of Racine; nieces, Dee Dee (Donald) Larsen and Sharon (Robert) Deverney of Racine, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A private service was held on August 20th, 2015 to celebrate her life.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Willowgreen for the compassionate care they provided to Pearl.

Auntie "BoDo" Pearl often sang the song Million Dollar Baby and taught it to many of her nieces and nephews …….so farewell to our "Million Dollar Baby". Sleep well.
