Racine – Prentice Lee Cosey, age 51, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Prentice was born in Racine on January 15, 1971 to Syid T. Abdullah and Antoinette Cosey. He attended Washington Park High School. Bud was working at Winona Foods in Green Bay, WI.

Among his interests, Bud enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, working out and watching soap operas. More importantly, he will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, was a true jokester, and was forever giving out nicknames for family and friends.

Surviving are his children, Keana Cosey, De'Zhaun Cosey, Na'Zhiya Cosey and Kaili Cosey; granddaughter, Ke'Miyah Cosey; mother, Antoinette Cosey; seven brothers & sisters, Tracy (Byron) Daniels, Haleemah Abdullah, Nia (Derrick) Burns, Syid (Semake) Abdullah, Tameka Abdullah, Yusuf (Neka) Abdullah and Evette Simpson; longtime girlfriend, Angela Fralin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Prentice was preceded in death by his father, Syid T. Abdullah; and nephews, Tyron Ellis and Kareem McLain.

Homegoing Celebration for Prentice will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 am in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Pastors Frank & Yolanda James officiating.  Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park.  A memorial luncheon will follow.  Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am.
