MILWAUKEE – Raphael Earl Jones, 63, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on March 16, 2026.

Raphael E. Jones, 63, was born in Racine, WI to John Earl & Betty Dean (Rockett) Jones on March 10, 1963.  He passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Raphael received his education in the Racine Unified School District. Rafford accepted God as his Lord and Savior at a young age.  After graduating high school Raphael joined the U.S. Army and served our great country for 14 years as he traveled throughout the world! His service included two tours in Germany and one tour in Panama.

After his service, Raphael worked for Milwaukee County. He would meet the love of his life, Cheryl Ivy.  Soon after meeting, they came together as one in Holy Matrimony!

In addition to his loving wife, Cheryl Kay Jones of Milwaukee; Raphael is survived by his children; Raphael Jr., Leon, Cherry, Danyell, Kendo, and Leon; his mother, Betty Lott; his sisters, Enda E. Robbins (his twin), Sandra (Dwight Sr.) Person, Annette McGee, all of Racine, and Debra Brown of Oxford, MS.

Raphael is further survived by Lula Garrette, Gregory Lott, Willie Lott, Renee Lee, Tammy Candy, Tonette Miller, Tiffany Stevenson all of Racine, WI; special friends, Steve (Martha) Lott of Van Nuys, CA, Valeria Conner of Burnsville, MN, Perry Lott of Oklahoma City, OK, Calvin Harris, Harris Jefferson, Imogene Hine; sister-in-law, Tenna James; his special cousin, Bonnie Wadlington; as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Raphael was preceded in death by father, John E. Jones, Jacob A. Lott, brothers, Timothy Jones, Chester Tankley, Freddie and Vernon Lott; sister, Janice Lott, Henry Lee, Henry Conner, Dewayne Stevenson, Brian Miller, his grandparents, Louise Armstrong, Henry Rockett, Frank Willieham and Fon Rockett; and his nephews, Tyrese West, Anthony First, Jr., and Tellus Ellis.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, March 27, 2026, for a visitation from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.  A service celebrating his life, Homegoing, and Military Honors will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Waylan Strong officiating.  His interment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
