Obituary

Regina Ann Hawkins was born February 6, 1959 in Racine Wisconsin.  She received her wings on May 29, 2019 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.

Regina accepted Christ at an early age. She became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mack C. Davis. Regina was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church Young Adult Choir. She graduated from Horlick High School in 1977. Regina also attended Gateway Technical College in Racine, Wisconsin.  Regina was currently employed with United Healthcare until her illness and death.  Regina loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to her grandson's football games and of course traveling. Regina is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Sullivan; her son, LaDarris D. Hawkins; stepfather, Willie Simpson, Jr. and nephew, Xavier Sullivan. Regina leaves to cherish memories,   daughter, Desteni (Calvin Jr.) Lowe, of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Daryl S. Hawkins, of Racine, Wisconsin; her mother, Mary Simpson, of Racine, Wisconsin; sisters, Bridget Sullivan, of Racine, Wisconsin and Stephaine, Sullivan, of Kenosha, Wisconsin; grandchildren, DaQuan (Taylor) Hawkins; Calei, Calyse and Calvin III, Lowe, all of Atlanta, Georgia; special cousins, Dwight and Mitchell Price; special family members, Elvira Bumpus, Karen Hawkins, Starlynn Daley and Melvin Bumpus Jr.; goddaughters, Regina Hubbard and Janay Marsden; best friends, Pamela Marsden and Sandra "So Big" French; close family friend, Tokonboh Akande and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces,  great nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
