Rev. Thomas N. White, 71, passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center, on Sunday, October 29, 2006. He was born in New Albany, MS, on August 18, 1935, the son of the late Thomas and Willie Missouri (nee: Mosley) White. He had been a resident of Racine for over 50 years. Rev. White had been employed by Belle City as a molder. He enjoyed Mechanical work, fishing and drag racing. He accepted Christ at an early age and remained strong in his faith as a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church and it’s Male Chorus. He had a kind and gentle spirit and would embrace anyone who would enter his home. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Henry (Bridgette) White of Racine, LaSandra White of Lithonia, GA, Tiffany White, Mechelle White, and Darius White all of Racine, Toni Ivy and Exzenia (Landon) Mosley, of New Albany; and other children that he raised as own, his sister Tommie Lou Hickson of Chicago, IL; his aunts Zella Mae Sruggs and Elzadie Gordon; special grandchildren, Tommie Snow, Camille (Nathaniel) Anderson, Adrial White, Edwina White, 14 other grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, other relatives, a host of friends, and of course, his church family. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son Tom White and a sister Dorothy Stubbs. Rev. White’s Homegoing Service will be held at 12 O’clock Noon on Friday, November 3rd, in the Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1250 Lathrop Ave., with Rev. Daryn D. Crenshaw officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to his beloved Second Missionary Baptist Church.
