
Rex Frampton Appleton – Rex Frampton, 66, formerly of Racine, passed away in Appleton on Monday, April 9, 2007 after a 15 year battle with cancer. He was born on June 30, 1940, son of the late Roy and Viola (nee: Wilkins) Frampton. On June 25, 1966 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Bette” Ruth Ours in Atonement Lutheran Church. Rex was a Racine resident for most of his life. He was a member of UAW Local 72, and began working at American Motors in 1958. Rex worked in Dept. 842 and retired from Chrysler in 1993. He was an avid sports fan and followed both the Brewers and Packers. He liked to take walks in Kenosha’s Petrifying Springs Park with his sons, and adored his grandson. In 2004 he and Bette moved to Appleton to be nearer to their sons. He is survived by his wife, Bette; their sons, Dale Frampton and Steven Frampton; grandson, Ronan Frampton all of Appleton; sister, Jackie Plantz of Neshkoro; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his sisters, Bonnie Matlock, and Delores Turek; nephews, Jimmie Turek, and Michael Hennegan; and brother-in-law, Larry McBride. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007 with Rev. James Barsch officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 11:30 a.m.
