Service Details

Services for Rick will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home at 4600 County Line Road, on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 12:30pm with Pastor Ralph (Doc) Scherer officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11:00am until the time of service.

Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gina Anderson to help with funeral costs would be appreciated.

Racine – Richard B. Anderson, Sr., 64, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  He was born in Racine, Wisconsin on August 18, 1958, the son of the late Gordon R. and Patricia A. (nee: Hammer) Anderson .  On May 21, 2005 he was united in marriage to Gina L. Applin.  Rick and Gina enjoyed watching old westerns, the outdoors, fishing, estate sales and secondhand store shopping together. He always had a love of cars and was an auto body specialist during his working years. Rick loved being able to bring cars back to the glory and luster they had prior to an accident or deterioration.  His greatest hobby was Buckskinner Rendezvous (Fur Trade Era) reenactments with his late cousin, Bruce Kratt. He also enjoyed hunting, making knives and antique collecting.

Surviving are his wife, Gina Anderson; his children Penny (Brian) Stephan, Vicki (Dan) Hipke, Greg (Jaimie) Harris, Richard (Ramon) Anderson-Martinez, Rachel (Steve) Reilly and step-son Jason (Michelle) Applin.  He is also survived by his brothers, Scott (Sherri) Anderson, Troy Anderson; sister, Kristie Anderson; step-mother, Jean Anderson and 2nd wife, Julie Harris. He is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece, nephew and great nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, father, Gordon; son, Timothy J. Anderson and his 1st wife, Cherie Petersen.

Services for Rick will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home at 4600 County Line Road, on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 12:30pm with Pastor Ralph (Doc) Scherer officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11:00am until the time of service. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
