Richard E.
Rozzoni
Aug 15, 1938 — Mar 26, 2021
Richard E. Rozzoni, age 82 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Rich was born in Kenosha on August 15, 1938, the oldest son of the late Willard and Lillian (nee: Bierdz) Rozzoni. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D, Bradford High School. From there, he served in the Wisconsin National Guard, being called to active duty serving as an Army Staff Sergeant of the 32nd Infantry Division Artillery during the Berlin Crisis. He was honorably discharged in September, 1963.
On September 25, 1971 in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Fran Patterson. Together they raised two wonderful children.
Rich was employed in the construction industry for many years, primarily working with Camosy Construction, Inc.
His life centered around his family. He especially enjoyed hosting the annual 4th of July picnic for over 30 years, where he was the "lifeguard " on duty and the "master griller". Despite the many "bumps in the road" Rich encountered, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren at sporting, dance, and theatre events. He also loved spending time with his friends at the golf course and meeting at the "19th Hole", Sunnyside Club. He also looked forward to his daily bike rides.
In addition to his parents, Willard and Lillian Rozzoni, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Rozzoni; sisters-in-law, Gail Rozzoni and Sherry Beam ; his mother-in-law, Vera Patterson. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his wife, Fran; his two children, Jason (Cathe) Rozzoni and Jamie Andrews; his grandchildren, Kyle, Nick, and Lauren Andrews, and Abigail and Gavin Rozzoni; his siblings, Sandra (Ray) Ziegler, Willard (Anne Marie) Rozzoni, Jr. and David (Diana) Rozzoni. He will also be missed by his son-in-law, Todd Andrews, and close family friends, Sue Pavlovich and Dave Hamelink Sr. , as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Becca, Lisa, and Jessica from Hospice, who made his last days comfortable.
