Rita Mae Krogh, 99, of Sturtevant, passed away at the Kenosha Senior Living Community on Friday, November 15, 2024. She was born in Racine on February 17, 1925, the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Viola (nee: Lui) Pfeiffer Sr.
Mrs. Krogh graduated from Washington Park High School, class of '43. On June 25, 1949, in St. Edward's Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Stanley C. Krogh, who preceded her in death 0n November 2, 2013. She had been employed by Western Publishing for over 33 years, until her retirement.
Mrs. Krogh had been a lifetime member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, especially Sheepshead and Cribbage, as well as attending family functions, particularly the family picnics.
Surviving are her daughter, Lani Krogh, of Sturtevant; sister, Elaine Stuhr; sister-in-law, Shirley Pfeiffer; stepsister, Patti Conner, all of Racine; stepbrother, John Granger; her nieces and nephews, also survive her. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Mrs. Krogh was preceded in death by her siblings, Lorraine (Ed) Tomasek, Joan (Walter) Johnson, Jackie (Bill) Geersten, Lucille (Arnold) Felton, Raymond H. Pfeiffer Jr . ; brother-in-law, Carl Stuhr; stepmother, Margaret Granger; stepbrothers and sister, Ralph (Mary) Haas, Peter (Helen) Pfeiffer Robert (Mary) Granger, and Tom (Joyce) Granger, Dick Conner, Rich (Sally) Granger, Jim (Dorothy) Ade, and Kenneth (Jean) Ade.
The family would like to thank Drs. Paul Durbin and Desiree Dizadji and their staffs for the care and compassion given to Rita and her family.
Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 3 rd at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
