
Racine- Robert Bruce Johnson, age 70, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Friday evening, April 26, 2013.
Bob was born in Milwaukee on December 9, 1942 to the late Virgil and Nyra (nee: Crouch) Nelson. A 1960 graduate of Washington Park High School, he went on to earn his degree from University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Bob served our Country with the United States Navy.
Extremely intelligent, Bob was employed as a self-employed computer consultant. The majority of his life he lived in San Diego, Salt Lake City, Miami, New York and Chicago. Some of his interests included NASCAR, Green Bay Packers, golf, lighthouses and boats.
Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly (Scott Hanson) Eisel; granddaughters, Stephanie Eisel and Jessa Eisel; great-grandchildren, Angelina Morales, Jaime Ortega, Anthony and Angel Angeles; Alfredo and Jayden Jackson; sister-in-law, Penelope “Penny” Johnson; nieces, Dawn Johnson and Michelle (Edward) Hoffman; great-nephews and niece, Steven Johnson, Kaleb and Cecilia Dunkerly; Zachary and Lucas Hoffman; step-grandchildren, Scottie, Dylan, Hunter and Karlee Hanson; Jaime M. Ortega; Stacy, Dana, Raquel A. and Joseph Rodriguez – and their mother, Maria Ortega.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his infant sister, Patricia Johnson; and by his beloved brother, Steven L. Johnson.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A brief service of committal will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11 am. Military honors will follow.
