Robert Billups, Jr., age 73, was born August 29, 1950 to Adell (Freeman) and Robert W. Billups, Sr. He was born into eternal life on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
At an early age he joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. J.B. Bailey. He was united in marriage on October 11, 1975 to Patricia Turner. Of this union there were two sons, Keith Sr. and Anthony Sr. In 1984, Anthony Jr. was raised with our sons.
Robert was previously employed with Modine Manufacturing for 25 years as a tool & die maker. Robert was a lifelong resident of Racine. Robert coached for the YMCA basketball; Racine Youth Sports t-ball and football; and the Racine Hitters organization baseball. His hobbies were his CB Radio, fishing, coaching and bowling.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 48 years, Patricia; three sons, Keith Sr. (Sue), Anthony Sr. (Victoria) and Anthony Jr.; sister, Maydell (Greg Sr.) Williams; brothers-in-law, William, George, Orlando, Steve (Tracy) and Vivian Jr. (Sherry); sisters-in-law, Debra, Cora, Darlene, Sherri, Melinda and Sandra; 18 grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Kiara, Keith Jr., Kiana, Torin, Antwaun, J'Quail, Darrius, Peoria, James III, Jonte, Jeremy, Tatianna, Eric, Jailee, D'Marcus, D'Marion and Andrea; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Adell and Robert W. Billups, Sr.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marcella and Vivian Turner Sr.; 2 sisters, 5 brothers, 1 sister-in-law and 1 grandchild.
Homegoing Services will be at celebrated at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1123 Center Street, on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard L. Jones, Sr. officiating. Viewing will be at the church on Saturday from 10-11 am. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
