Robert Lee Cokes 71 passed away peacefully Tuesday December 28 th at Beloit Memorial hospital surrounded by his daughter Dai Shari Scott and Son-In- Law Chrsitopher Brooks. Robert was born to the late Aaron Wilson and Late Georgia May Cokes-Williams in Memphis Tennessee.
Robert obtained some education in Memphis up until he moved to Milwaukee WI to be with his mother to finish his education at Roosevelt Jr high school in Milwaukee Wi, at this age Robert loved to play pool dance and spend most of his time with his Special cousin Johnnie L Cokes. Robert was a very ambitious outspoken determined individual. Robert loved working and providing for his family, Robert had to many jobs to list. However due to Robert's health issues he had to retire from MacWhyte Distribution, LLC.
Later in life he moved to Kenosha Wi where he met his wife Elnora Forest, and 3 daughters were born into this union Latricia Cokes 1974 Natasha Cokes 1972 and Patrice Cunningham 1980. Robert loves to provide for his family the true definition of a Real father. Robert was outstanding to most especially to his children and Grandchildren. Let him tell it we all were his favorites. A very loveable person and anyone that met him would say the same. He loved to put as smile on anyone face. Treated everyone equally even made excuses for things he had no business making up excuse for, that was just his personality. He helped everyone No matter who you were. However, the marriage between Robert and Elnora ended but not their friendship. Robert later met the best thing that happened to him in his voice, he met Patricia Scott- Winston Robert raised Patricia, Son has his own Triveon D Scott, and Robert and Patricia had a child of their own Dai Shari Scott 1987. Robert loved to spend time with his children and Grandchildren. He would say Nari, Riyah, and Zaire is what is keeping him alive. Robert was very loveable and about them three he would try to walk across the water. As Robert got older, he loved to watch football listen to his old school music (My last two dollars was his favorite) He also loved to play cowboy and cop and robbers with his grandson day in and day out. His last days on this earth all he wanted to do was teach he Grandson about this cold world. Which he did an awesome job.
Robert was proceeded in death by his father Aaron Wilson, mother Georgia May Cokes-William, sister LuVenia Williams, special cousin Johnnie L Cokes and ex-spouse Elnora Forest. Robert was amazing and the best father in the world. He had a big heart and would help anybody. He was a giver! Robert will truly be missed and never forgotten.
Robert leaves to cherish his daughters Latrice Cokes (Milwaukee, WI), Natasha Cokes (Beloit, WI), Patrice Cunningham (Racine, WI), Daishari Scott (Beloit, WI), Son Triveon D Scott (Kenosha, WI), Brothers- Richard Cokes (Milwaukee, WI), Archie (Jacqueline) Williams, Darren (Chiquita) Williams (Milwaukee, WI), Son-In-Law Christopher Brooks (Beloit, WI); 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; Special friend Patricia Scott-Winston (Kenosha, WI). A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 12 o'clock noon. Relatives and friends can meet with the family from 11:00 until the time of the service.
