Racine – Robert Edward Marske, age 70, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 20, 2024 after a brave struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, an extremely rare neurodegenerative disorder that Bob was diagnosed with in 2018.

Bob was born in Beloit, WI on February 19, 1954 to the late Milton and Alice (nee: Gaulrapp) Marske. After graduating from Beloit High School, Bob went to work for the Milwaukee Railroad and Soo Line Railroad for 17 years as a control operator until accepting a position with Milwaukee Metro Auto Auction for the next 30 years, from where he retired.

On August 3, 2002, Bob was united in marriage with the love of his life, MonaLisa Delores (nee: Price). They are proud members of Christian Faith Fellowship Church. Bob & MonaLisa enjoyed visiting various casinos and playing a good game of Texas Hold’em. Bob also had a hobby of polishing rocks in which he would give to MonaLisa for her to make into jewelry. They truly were made for each other. Additionally, Bob liked to play golf and watch golf tournaments on TV.

Surviving are his loving wife, MonaLisa Marske; daughter, Kendall Jones; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Anthony Fair; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Joan) Marske; sisters, Judy Zizza and Pat (Randy) Maybe; mother-in-law, Geraldine Price; brother-in-law, Paul Price; sisters-in-law, Deborah Price and Carma Barker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Cushenberry; father-in-law, Lawrence Price; sisters-in-law, Phoebe Brown, Kathy Watson and Annie Price; and brothers-in-law, Noconno Price and Kalvin Barker.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 12:00 noon in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Scott officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 11 am – 12 noon. The service will be video recorded and uploaded to Bob’s obituary on this website the day after the funeral.

For you Bob, I pray for peace…I came to know you only after you were deep in your struggle with your disorder and to some it may have appeared on the surface as if the sickness was winning the fight – know I was not fooled. You are a true testament to what real inner strength is. You never allowed your disorder to cast any shadow upon the light in your heart and to me and so many others that in itself was courageous. To wake up each day knowing that the cards are stacked against you, but still thankful for the gift of the day itself is something that so many of fail to do on the daily. You have made an invaluable mark on my life and will forever be a hero in my heart & mind. ❤️
And for you Miss Mona (one of the strongest people I know) – know I’ve got you always!!
    Much love ❤️ ❤️❤️
