Robert W. Petersen, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2022.

He was born in Racine, WI on November 14, 1940, the only child of the late Robert and Irene (nee: Buehler) Petersen.

On November 10, 1962, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Institute, WI, Bob was united in marriage to Agnes Neuchter.

He was employed as a construction manager with many private companies throughout his career.  Bob enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and the community.  It was a constant priority for him to help those in need.  More specifically, Bob worked closely with Habitat for Humanity-Racine, Habitat for Humanity-Kenosha, and Cops for Kids-Racine.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Petersen; his children, Thomas (Amy) Petersen, Michael Petersen and Karen "Kricket", and Jillane Petersen; his grandchildren, Zachary Bassar, Courtney (Elric Miller) Petersen, Elijah Petersen, Isaac Petersen, Justin (Hannah Land) Petersen, and Katelyn (Sam West) Petersen-West and Ryan Petersen; his great grandchildren, Charlee and Teagen, and his beloved feline companion, Henry.

The Petersen family is grateful and appreciative to Aurora Cancer Center and Hospice.  They are appreciative for their support, professionalism, and quality care.

Service Details

A gathering of relatives and friends will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
