Rochester-Robert E. Rohner, 70, passed away peacefully at his home with his daughter, Jessica, and sisters by his side.

Bob was born in Racine, WI on September 1, 1951 to Robert and Irma (Bartel) Rohner. He graduated from J.I. Case High School class of 1969.

Bob spent his child hood years working alongside his parents, sisters, and extended family on his families' dairy farm where he learned the value of hard work. He was most at home on the farm and talked fondly of his years spent milking cows, planting and harvesting crops, and hunting pheasants. He most of all loved to be on the tractors.  He went on to have several jobs outside of the farm first at Highland's Restaurant, then working at two filling stations, and then at Styberg Manufacturing. Bob loved working outside and soon realized that he would not be happy working indoors. He then found employment with Bert Johnson Inc where he would go on to make many lifelong friendships.

In 1977 Bob established Rohner Asphalt and Grading, Inc which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2021. He had a passion for hard work and enjoyed working with his crew and making community connections. Bob enjoyed teaching young men the asphalt trade and new skills throughout the years. His work was truly his passion. He could be seen every year at his shop for the 3 ^rd of July fireworks talking with all of his friends and family.

He had many interests including vacationing, going to Las Vegas, and traveling up north to his farm. He enjoyed rides on the country roads, fishing, and hunting white tail deer. He loved good country music. He loved to care for his lawn, garden, and can tomatoes, salsa, and pickles.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Ken Behrens) Rohner; three sisters, Marie Rohner, Katherine (Victor) Johnson, and Jane Rohner; niece Sarah (Aaron) Schmidt; great niece Natalie Petrick; great nephew Jack (Izabella) Petrick and their children Leonardo and Azalea; special friend, Renee Thompson; good friend Al Solfest; and former wife Patricia Rohner. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Irma, aunts and uncles, and lifelong friends Wally Schultz and Leroy Johnson.

There will be a visitation on Saturday August 20, 2022 from 10-12 with memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Draeger Langendorf Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at a later date.
