Rose F. Ayers, 88, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, when she returned from her sister-in-law's funeral in Chicago. She was born on the north side of Chicago, on November 2, 1918, the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (nee: Korczyk) Zaremba. Mrs. Ayres loved to travel. She had a trailer and moved all over the country, from California to Las Vegas, to Florida, to North Carolina, to Mississippi, to Kentucky, but always considered the Midwest home. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing slot machines. Her greatest love was for her family. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Marjorie and Bob Pluskota of Racine; her grandchildren, John R. Pluskota of Melbourne, FL, Michelle and Steve Feilen of Steger, IL, Michael Pluskota of Las Vegas, NV, and Tammie Pluskota of Marion, KY; her great grandchildren, Jarod and Caleb Feilen, Nick Parker, Joe, Jenna, and Shauna Pluskota. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Cornell Ayers in 1972, grandson Robert Pluskota Jr. and by all of her brothers and sisters. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 16th, at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will take place on Monday in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL.
