Rosemary (Davis) Fawver, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, with her loving family by her side, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength.

She was born on July 6, 1931, in Atlanta, Ill to Nina and Henry Davis. She grew up with her sister, Dixie, in St Louis MO and spent much time with Granny, her grandmother. Her early years shaped the practical, grounded outlook she carried throughout her life.

On May 28, 1950, Rosemary married the love of her life, James Fawver, and lived in Racine, WI, where they created a loving home for their five children: Dennis, Janet, David, Joan and Lisa. Rosemary was a devoted and loving mother who put her family first, always providing steady support, kindness, and care.

Rosemary smiled easily and often. People felt genuinely welcome and loved in Rosemary’s presence. She and Jim raised their young family in a neighborhood full of kids. One of many young moms in the neighborhood, Rosemary made many friends there. Her best friend of 75 years is from the neighborhood. They visited just last week.

Throughout her life, Rosemary quietly committed her time to helping others. She spent many years working as a volunteer with the Red Cross visiting patients at the Great Lakes Naval hospital in Northern Illinois. She also spent many years volunteering at various women shelters and would be on call in the evenings.

Rosemary was an avid reader and would often have a bag of books to read sitting next to her chair, which she usually took care of in pretty short order. She loved cats and dogs, fresh air, and sitting in sunshine. She loved spending summers in Three Lakes and spoiling grandkids with popsicles. And about those grandchildren, she loved them above all else.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dixie, and her husband, James.

She is survived by her lifelong friend, Jean, children Dennis (Ann), Janet, David (Patti), Joan (Chuck), and Lisa. Grandchildren include Sarah, Hannah, Emily, Jason, Joni, Lea, Ryan, Katie, Kelly, Kimberly.

There are also 17 really great grandchildren: Ella, Molly, Liam, Nolan, Silas, Soren, Alden, Orian, Archer, Oskar, Hugo, Felix, Juniper, Giana, Tinley, Cooper, Brecken, Porter, Alaina, Beckett, Corbin, Davis, Wesley.

Her wishes were to have a private, family celebration of her life at West Lawn Memorial Park in Racine, WI.
