MOUNT PLEASANT – Rosemary Joyce Vallee, 80, passed away at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Rose was born in Watertown, WI on January 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Walter and Edna (nee Magritz) Retzlaff.  Rose worked at Boston Store for over 20 years.  Previous employment included Aurora and Gimbels. She was a member of Water of Life Lutheran Church.  Rose enjoyed reading, and in her younger years, horseback riding.  She was happiest in the company of her family.

She is survived by her daughters and son, Dawn (Patrick) Kirby, Brenda Minar, Dale (Christine Wistrom) Vallee; her grandchildren, Christine (Chris) Tarwid, Nicole (Michael) Gomez, Jacob Minar, Stephanie (Brandon) Hall; her great grandchildren, Adreanna, Tomeki, Noah, Harvey, Greyson, Isabella, Rosalie, and Hailey; her sisters, Sandra Lewin, Bonita Nelson, Debra (Michael) Gramza, Cheryl (Howard) Cuff, as well as many nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.  In addition to her parents, Rose was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Vallee; her sisters, Kristine Murphy and Carol Durfey, and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Nelson.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Water of Life Lutheran Church, Racine Campus (2921 Olive Street) on Monday, December 12, 2022, for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Zarling officiating.  A private interment will take place at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Oak Creek.  Memorials in Rose's name may be directed to Water of Life Lutheran Church.
