Mr. Roy Lee Carroll, 66, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

He was born in Chicago on August 25, 1955, the son of Roy and Emma Carroll.

After graduating from high school, Roy proudly served his country with the US Marine Corps.

He was a self-employed carpenter and loved to work hard.  He also loved sharing meals with his family and friends and being in the company of his dogs.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Monica (nee Jenkins) Brown; his daughter, Shantessa (Ernest III) Jones; his sons, Darnell Sloan and Robin Carroll; his grandchildren, Wonyea Jones, Ernest Jones IV, Mariah Jenkins, Riel Jenkins; his sisters and brothers, Anginette Carroll, Terri Carroll, Charlestine Carroll, Tina Carroll, Buck Carroll; Monica's siblings whom he viewed as his own sisters and brothers, Bridget Robinson, Patrice Coburn, Randolph Jenkins, and Faynetta Brown.  Roy was also preceded in death by his son, Darwe Carroll.
