Ruth Ann Pincikowski, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Ruth was born in Racine on July 8, 1939, the daughter of Georgetta and Stanley Fisher, and stepmother Fern Fisher. She was married to the love of her life Leonard Pincikowski for over sixty years. They were married on September 7, 1963 at St. Edwards church.

Her greatest passion in life was her family. She loved nothing more than creating the best possible home for her children and husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. Feisty and direct, a lady who always spoke her mind, she possessed an incredible capacity to love and care, traits she shared with her family every day in good times and bad. A superb cook, she enjoyed preparing family meals. She is known far and wide for her cherry and rhubarb pie and homemade dinner rolls. She loved hiking and camping and possessed a creative side. She was an artist and writer who liked to draw, paint, make stained glass, and create poetry and short stories. On weekends, she could often be found at rummage sales, searching for deals and driving a hard bargain. She was a dog lover her entire life, and in recent years always had her beloved dog Maggie on her lap. A faithful Christian, she enjoyed teaching CCD to children at St. Lucy's.

Ruth is preceded in death by her brother, Don Fisher and her son, Timothy Pincikowski.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard Pincikowski; her children, Karen Gross (Timothy, "T") of Racine; Scott Pincikowski (Kate Luse) of Frederick, MD; Mark Pincikowski (Jennifer Urban) of Lacie, WA; her grandchildren, Michael Pincikowski (Christina), Lauren Pincikowski, Nessa Urban (Tyler Reid), Hanu-Kai Pincikowski, and Peregrine Pincikowski; great-grandson, Lucas Pincikowski; daughter-in-law, Lisa Pincikowski (Scott Bolanowski); her  sister-in-law, Audrey Studrawa (Frank), and many other wonderful relatives, friends, and neighbors.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ascension Hospital for the exceptional care Ruth received in her final days. A special thank you to Hannah for her compassion and sense of humor during this difficult time.

Service Details

Her Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3801 Drexel Ave. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will take place at West Lawn  Memorial Park on Monday, July 1st at 11:00 a.m.
