Racine – Ryan E. Herman, 20, was involved in a fatal traffic accident and passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013.  He was born in York, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1993, the son of Ed and Cheryl (nee: Witmer) Herman. He and his family have been Racine area residents since 2006.

Ryan graduated from Horlick High School in 2011, and had been working in the service department at Porcaro Ford at the time of his death.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Ed Herman and Cheryl Herman, both of Racine; his sisters, Taylor Herman of Racine, and Michelle Dellinger in York, Penn.; grandparents, Ronald and Faye Witmer in Lancaster, Penn. and Bettie L. Lightner in York, Penn.; aunts Julia Witmer in Gettysburg, Penn., Kathryn Mcall, Sharon Stitzel, and Kimberly Schoffner all of York, Penn.; as well as many dear relatives and close friends.

A service of remembrance will be held in the funeral home in Racine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 . Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 until the start of the service.

Memorial Services will also be held at the Starview United Church of Christ, 4832 N Sherman Street Extended, Mount Wolf PA 17347 at 7:30pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 with Rev. Laura Bair officiating. VIsitation will be in the church from 6:00pm – 7:30pm

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
