Racine – Sam Hill, 77, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.  He was born in Hillsboro, Alabama, on June 30, 1936, son of the late Joe and Pearlie (nee: Bates) Hill.  Sam was united in marriage to Rhodell (nee: Swoope) Hill.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013, 7:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby officiating.  Visitation will be from 5pm until the time of the prayer service.  Funeral services will be held in Decatur, Alabama on a later date.
