Obituary

Sandra Ann "Sandy" Johnson, 64, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her close family on January 13, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1959 in Racine, Wisconsin.

Sandy was a beloved member of her community. Sandy was a fun, loving, generous, kind, and supportive individual who was deeply family-oriented. She had a passion for playing bingo and could often be found at the local bingo hall surrounded by family and friends. Sandy enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her loved ones.

Sandy's main job and greatest joy in life was being a stay-at-home mom and nana. She worked part-time jobs as she desired, but her true calling was taking care of her family and cherishing every moment spent with them. She found joy in cooking and was delighted to prepare meals for her family. She loved to zoom around the city in her little silver Chevy Cruze enjoying the freedom of the open road.

Sandy is survived by her ex-husband, Mark Johnson Sr., and their children: Michelle (Ali) Johnson, Kisha Johnson, and Mark (Lucy) Johnson Jr. She was a cherished Nana to Edward Jackson Jr., Tavariona Harris, Tavasia Harris, E'mari Jackson, Keshawn Harris, Devin Johnson, Ali Goss Jr, Mark Johnson lll, Maddox Johnson, and a great Nana to Ky'Air Parker-Davis. In addition, she was a beloved Bonus Nana to Marina Chaffee and Layla Chaffee. Sandy is also survived by her siblings, Debra Killips, Linda Killips, and David Killips. She is also survived by a special cousin Vince Hattix, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many more dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Killips and Jeanette Killips, as well as her brothers Leroy Killips, Gordon Killips, and Ronnie Killips.

Per Sandy's wishes, there will not be a service held. Instead, her loved ones will celebrate her in their own special way. Sandy's legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and solace to those who mourn her.

May she rest peacefully.
