Sharon L. Meni, 70, passed away in the Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, on Sunday June 19, 2016. She was born in Waukegan, IL on April 25, 1946, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (nee: Turner) Carr. Sharon grew up in Kenosha and was a 1964 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. She later received her degree in Accounting. On January 28, 1967, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Kenosha, she was united in marriage to James A. Meni. Sharon worked for various companies in Texas and Illinois, returning to the Kenosha Area in 1991. She had been employed by Johnson Bank, retiring in 1998 due to illness. Sharon enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and clipping coupons. Her true love was showering her grandchildren with love and affection. Surviving are her loving husband, of nearly fifty years, James A. Meni; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Amy Meni, of Sussex; grandchildren, Doolin and Darby Meni; sister-in-law, Kathy Meni, of Gwinn, MI; nephews, Bill Meni, Mike and Paul Carr; and niece, Debbie Simmons. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Jalma Meni, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Judy Carr, brother-in-law, Tom Meni, and nephew, John Meni. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 28th, at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank the staff of the Froedtert Medical Center and Cancer Clinics for the support and compassion shown to Sharon for the past two and one half years and Hospice Alliance- Pleasant Prairie for assisting Sharon in her final days.
