Racine – Sharon Jean Seidel, age 77, passed away surrounded by her family, at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

A lifetime resident, Sharon was born in Racine on February 24, 1939 to the late Willard J. Christensen and Rose (nee: DeMatthew ) Hardy. She attended St. Catherine's High School. On May 2, 1959 in St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with Lloyd Thomas "Skip" Seidel, Jr.

Sharon had a beautiful smile and always had a twinkle in her eye.  Her laugh was contagious.  Her favorite times were when she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and her loving husband, Skip, of 58 years.  She enjoyed having long conversations with family and many dear friends.

Surviving are her husband, Lloyd "Skip" Seidel; children, Deborah Erhardt and Lloyd "Tom" (Theresa) Seidel III; grandchildren, Jacob Erhardt , Melissa Erhardt , Jessica Seidel, Megan (Mario) Garcia, Nathan Erhardt and Jimmy Larkin Jr.; great-grandchildren, Michael Zwiefelhofer and Maddie Garcia; sisters, Janice Fischer, Dorothy (Bill) Lee, and Rosemary Hardy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Christensen.

A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 am in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family has been suggested.
