Racine – Shawn Marie Judon-Boston, age 48, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday evening, September 4, 2014 following a recent struggle with cardiac complications.

Shawn was born in Racine on November 7, 1965 to Charles E. Goodwin and Mary Judon Johnson. She received Christ at an early age through St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Shawn was a faithful member of the Kingdom Builders Fellowship Center.

Shawn was united in marriage with Robert Boston in 2009. She was proudly employed as a Resident Care Technician II at Southern Wisconsin Center for the past 18 years. Among her interests, Shawn enjoyed reading and loved being social with her extensive circle of family & friends. Although Shawn was a "friend in need", she was truly a "friend in deed."

Leaving to cherish her precious memory are her daughter, DeChell Coleman; grandson, Javen Joshua; mother, Mary (step-father, Freddie) Johnson; step-mother, Betty (nee: Jones) Goodwin; husband, Robert Boston; step-daughters, Marquita & Marissa; step-brother, Kerstal Wyatt; special friends, Annette Jones, Nikki Russell, Delestine Kidd, LaKeisha Person and the entire loving Butler family; God-son, Tyreece "Mookie" Grandberry; step-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

Shawn was preceded in death by her father, Charles Goodwin; grandmother, Velma Judon; and grandson, Lavell Joshua, Jr.

A Service of Homegoing will be celebrated in Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1123 Center Street, on Friday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Leon Brown officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be in St. Paul Church on Friday from 10-11 am.

Special recognition to St. Catherine's Medical Center – Kenosha & St. Luke's Medical Center – Milwaukee for the compassionate care given to Shawn. Also, a heartfelt note of thanks to all our family / friends for the outpouring of love & support given during these past difficult days. May God bless all of you!
